Riding on the success of his recent horror comedy ’Munjya’, filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar’s next venture ‘Kakuda’ is once again a horror comedy but this time it’s going to a direct-to-digital release. ‘Kakuda’ Is set to premiere only on Zee5 on 12th July, 2024.
Touted as a freakishly spooky comedy, ‘Kakuda’ follows a town trapped in time by a curse and three of its inhabitants face a ghost that makes them question superstition, tradition and love. Going by the tagline of the film, “AbHarMardKhatreMeinHai”, it does remind one of another hit film ‘Stree’ whose sequel is about to release in a couple of months.
Written by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, ‘Kakuda’ stars Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Salim, Aasif Khan, Sachin Vidrohi, Garrvil Mohan, Ravi Ranjan, Hemant Singh, Arun Dubey and Magan Luhar among others.
