Thanks to Kanchana and Stree, the genre of horror comedy is not only surviving but thriving. Makers are coming up with innovative ideas that are usually too good when we look from an entertainment point of view.
So there is a director called Aditya Sarpotdar. You may not know his name but his time of becoming famous has just started. The man has been active in the Marathi film industry for quite some time but his major breakthrough in the Hindi film industry is just a few weeks old.
He is the man behind Munjya which did phenomenal business on the big screens if we keep in mind the tiny scale on which the film is made.
So, he is coming up with another Horror Comedy that was supposed to be released in the theatres but makers have decided to drop it on the OTT instead.
The film titled Kakuda is coming soon on Zee5. The film in its promotional campaign has warned every man to not open doors on Tuesday 7:15 PM.
Looks like yet another film which attacks or pretends to attack patriarchy. But it is too early to judge.
Regardless, the film is led by Sonakshi Sinha, Ritesh Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
Zee5 has not specified any release date for Kakuda but they are saying that it is coming soon. Let’s see when that becomes possible.
