The action thriller movie ‘Vikram’ starring veteran actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role was released in theatres last year in the month of June and the film turned out to be a blockbuster, grossing more than a whopping Rs. 430 crores globally. Besides its theatrical success, the movie was well received by the critics and audiences alike.
After completing its theatrical run, ‘Vikram’ later started streaming on two OTT platforms namely Disney+ Hotstar and Zee5 for their paid subscribers. But now, all movie buffs can watch the film for free on Disney+ Hotstar in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu languages besides the original Tamil language version. So, in case you were not able to catch the film in cinemas and for those who were not subscribed to either Disney+ Hotstar or Zee5, you can now stream ‘Vikram’ on Disney+ Hotstar without paid subscription for the first time since its OTT release.
Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the star-studded action entertainer ‘Vikram’ features the terrific trio of Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil alongside Suriya in a special cameo. Kamal Haasan has essayed the titular character of a black ops cop named Vikram, who is given the mission to nab a group of masked criminals.
After the film’s massive commercial success and widespread critical appreciation, lead actor Kamal Haasan had revealed that a sequel to ‘Vikram’ is a possibility and another film under the ambit of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe might be on the cards. However, an official announcement is still awaited in this regard. Now, Kamal Haasan is gearing up for his upcoming acting projects including S. Shankar’s vigilante actioner ‘Indian 2’ and Nag Ashwin’s big-ticket sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, amongst others.
