“Inimel Delulu is the New Solulu.” Any hint? And if this tweet is from the Ulaganayagan himself, there is something big! Aarambikalangala? (Can’t get enough of this catchphrase!)
On February 6, Kamal Haasan’s production company, Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), dropped a tweet on X, which had an attachment of a poster featuring 2 icons in one frame: Shruti Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Nothing more than this image and that Gen Z slang. Wait, what? Fans are bemused if the collaboration is for a film, music video or something else. While details about the collaboration remain under wraps, one thing is for sure- Kamal Haasan will be producing it, marking Kamal’s inaugural venture as a producer for his daughter Shruti Haasan.
Shruti Haasan has been in the film industry, tracing back to her early days as a playback singer and child actor in her father’s films. Starting from Hey Ram as a child artist to Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Shruti Haasan has been predominantly working in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil films. The father-daughter duo has previously collaborated professionally, with Shruti also lending her voice to multiple songs in her father’s movies.
Also, the anticipation surrounding Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next project has soared following the success of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. Will his next film be a sequel of his previous hits, or will they stand alone? It is undeniable that Lokesh is solidifying his status as one of the most sought-after directors in South India.
