The supremely talented Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut earlier today took to Instagram which indicating that filming for the next schedule of her upcoming film ‘Tejas’ has commenced today. She also shared a BTS picture of herself donning the magnificent Air Force uniform along with the film’s director Sarvesh Mewara. Her post was marked with the words “On to my next mission #Tejas. Starting today…Josh is soaring high thanks to my fabulous team.”
‘Tejas’ is being described as the story of a fierce Air Force fighter pilot. The film’s underlying premise is reportedly inspired by the fact that in the year 2016, the Indian Air Force was the first to take the decision of inducting women into combat roles. The film is said to ostensibly portray some of the daredevil combat missions undertaken by the Indian armed forces and the sacrifices made by them.
Kangana Ranaut had earlier stated that in order to be worthy of the uniform and to get into the character, she had trained hard and lived through the struggles and hardships that the armed forces have to go through, to know what it takes to have muscles of iron and nerves of steel. This is the first time the ‘Queen’ actress will be seen essaying the role of a soldier.
‘Tejas’ is Sarvesh Mewara’s debut feature film directorial project, which has also been written by him. Earlier, he had directed a short film ‘The Girl & the Autorickshaw’ back in the year 2012.
While Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming projects include the biographical film ‘Thalaivi’ and the spy actioner ‘Dhaakad’. She has recently wrapped up the filming of ‘Dhaakad’ which co-stars Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, and Sharib Hashmi in important roles.
