Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency: Milind Soman To Play Sam Manekshaw

Viewers saw Kangana Ranaut as Indira Gandhi in the official teaser of her upcoming directional, Emergency, some time ago. The teaser opened to mixed response, fans praised the actress for her looks as the former Indian Prime Minister and her impeccable acting skills. On the other hand, many declared the film “a political ground” for the actress.

Ranaut is leaving no stones unturned to promote her forthcoming directional and create a strong buzz about it in the market. The leading lady has dropped a new poster featuring Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. He served as the army’s chief of staff during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The rest of the cast includes performers like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Bhumika Chawla, and Satish Kaushik.

Kangana hailed Manekshaw as “the man instrumental for saving India’s frontiers during the Indo-Pak war and whose service was as distinguished as his honesty; a charmer, a war hero and a visionary leader in #Emergency,” in her latest Instagram post.

Emergency tells the dramatised version of all the important incidents that occurred in India under the leadership of Indira Gandhi. This film is Ranaut’s second directional project after Manikarnika (2019). She, along with Renu Pitti, has produced the film under the banner of Manikarnika Films. Stay tuned for more updates.
