For a long time in making Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tejas’ will finally soon be ready for the audience. The makers took to social media today to announce the new release date for the war drama film ‘Tejas’.
Coming from the makers of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Tejas’ is an ode to the Indian Air Force and tells the inspiring story of a woman who chose to rule the skies. Set in 2016 when Indian Air Force became the first of India’s defence forces to induct women into combat roles, ‘Tejas’ follows the courageous journey of a brave and daring female fighter pilot.
‘Tejas’ is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead. The actress went under intensive training to get hold of the special combat skills used in the forces. Other than Kangana Ranaut, the film also stars Varun Mitra, Anshul Chauhan, Veenah Nair, Rohed Khan and Anuj Khurana among others.
Earlier scheduled to release on Dussehra last year, ‘Tejas’ was delayed indefinitely and it’s only now that the producers have taken a decision on the film’s release date. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his RSVP Movies banner, ‘Tejas’ will release in cinemas on 20th October, 2023.
