Suriya’s action-thriller Kanguva has been the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons and continues to shine over the OTT market for its underwhelming story and plot. While the film was seen as a top contender for probably being one of the best films of the year, has now become a laughing stock a day after its release.
However, things aren’t as bad as they seem in regional states where Suriya has a dedicated fanbase. Fans are filling theatres in Tamil Nadu to watch this epic saga involving Disha Patani and Bobby Deol alongside Suriya. Despite having a lot of buzzes regionally, the film’s first-day collection crossed 15 crores.
The film will be following an 8-week OTT release window which will let the makers release the film digitally after 8 weeks of its theatrical release. Suriya’s Kanguva might have a good run given the amount of fans and affection they have for the Southern superstar.
Eight weeks will be more than enough for the film to showcase its true colors countrywide as North Indian audiences might engage themselves in watching the film this weekend.
