The 2022 Kannada action drama ‘Vedha’ will have its digital premiere soon on Zee5. The film had its theatrical release on the 23rd of December last year.
The film is written and directed by Kannada filmmaker A. Harsha and was produced by Geeta Shivarajkumar under the banner of Geeta Pictures. Zee Studios acted as the co-produced the film and now it will be releasing on Zee5 on the 10th of February.
‘Vedha’ stars the Kannada actor Shiva Rajakumar in the lead and it is the 125th film of the actor. Ghanavi Laxman plays the female lead and actors like Umashree, Aditi Sagar, Shwetha Chengappa and Kuri Prathap are in other important roles.
‘Vedha’ tells the story of a girl ned Neela who gets molested by a man and tells it to her grandmother. Her grandmother then asks her to read a book called ‘Vedha’ which is about a gangster and his daughter turning vigilantes and killing down people for revenge. The story goes on and the father daughter duo escape from the police again and again. Meanwhile, Neela gets molested by the same man again in a bus and this time she takes revenge.
The film got mixed reviews at the time of its release. Some audiences argued that it has too much violence and it makes the film gruesome. Many people also liked the story and performances. If you are a fan of revenge thrillers and if you like Kannada cinema, you can give it a try. It will be available to watch on Zee5 from the 10th of February.
