2020 saw the release of the Kannada movie, “Dia” which instantly became a fan favourite in a short period of time. The movie was initially released on the 7th of February, 2020 and received a good enough response from the audience. The movie almost after just a month released through the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video and the satellite rights for the movie went to Zee Kannada. The movie releasing so quickly on the streaming platform might have been the beginning of pandemic.
Dia, after receiving critical acclaim from all around, also managed to impress the other film industries of India. This resulted in the remake of the movie is not only one but two languages. The movie will be remade in Telugu and in Hindi, the announcements for the same have already been made. The team recently released the soundtrack for the Telugu version of the movie, and it is being mentioned that the movie will be hitting the screens pretty soon. The movie received a lot of praises from the Telugu film industry, which became the reason for the team to venture into remaking the movie in Telugu.
While the Telugu version is slated to release soon, the team is also busy with the Hindi remake of the movie. The Hindi remake of the movie is being shot right now in Uttar Pradesh and the director of the original movie, K. S. Ashoka is the consultant for the Hindi remake. The Hindi remake of the movie will also see the Bollywood debut of Pruthvi, who is among the three stars of the original movie.
The original movie stars newcomers Kushee Ravi, who plays the titular role, along with Pruthvi Ambaar and Deekshith Shetty playing the lead roles. The movie is directed by director K. S. Ashoka, who is also known for his first movie 6-5=2. As the movie is still attracting viewers to its beautiful storyline, the actors of the movie have now received much appreciation too. This has led them in venturing into more projects in the world of Indian films.
