Jeff Goldblum is a god, and he literally plays a god in Netflix’s upcoming mythological dark-comedy series, KAOS. Fans of the Jurassic Park actor will see him playing a cranky, disgruntled, and really pissed-off version of the great Greek deity, Zeus, in the show. The latest trailer brings out the paranoid and egomaniacal side of Zeus, as he fears that his reign will come to an end soon.
The new KAOS trailer shows Goldblum’s Zeus living in a lavish house located on Mount Olympus and strictly demanding the devotion of the humans he monitors. The Greek God starts losing his mind after he discovers a wrinkle on his forehead, which reminds him of an ancient prophecy about him and his Olympian kin losing their authority and power. In his anger, he starts making irrational decisions that threaten the very existence of humanity and force him to encounter new adversaries.
The new clip highlights a striking difference between the show’s depictions of Hell and Mount Olympus. Hell is portrayed in stark black and white, contrasting sharply with the colorful, vibrant world of Mount Olympus.
Apart from the quirky yet mesmerising Jeff Goldblum, KAOS is packed with talents such as Janet McTeer (Hera), Cliff Curtis (Poseidon), David Thewlis (Hades), Killian Scott (Orpheus), Debi Mazar (Medusa), Aurora Perrineau (Riddy), Misia Butler (Caneus), Nabhan Rizwan (Dionysus), Leila Farzad (Ari), and more. It will premiere on Netflix on August 29. Enjoy the trailer below!
