The collaboration of India most prominent comedian, Kapil Sharma, and veteran Bollywood actress, Nandita Das, is impossible to imagine. Right? But this thing has come true. Applause Entertainment has revealed that both talented personas will be a part of an upcoming movie produced under the banner of the production company. The filming will commence this month or the next one in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
The forthcoming Applause Entertainment movie will revolve around the life of a food delivery guy (Sharma). And Shahana Goswami will play his wife. Indian audience will witness Sharma in a dramatic role in this one. Das believes that the leading man is the perfect guy to portray this role.
There’s no denying that Kapil Sharma shares a strong connection with the Indian audience. The majority of his jokes revolve around the lives and problems of common people. But he also utilises his platform to create awareness about the social and other crucial issues in the country.
This is what Das has said about her upcoming project:
“The film attempts to make visible what’s hidden in the plain sight. And for this, the cast and crew have serendipitously come together. One day, Kapil Sharma popped up on my screen. I hadn’t seen his show, but I could see him wholly representing the ‘common man’, despite not being one anymore! I am certain he will surprise everyone, including himself, with this natural candidness.”
Apart from Nandita Das, Kapil Sharma has expressed his excitement about getting a chance to present his new side as an actor in the upcoming film. The former will helm this project.
