Karisma Kapoor is one of the eminent names of 90’s Bollywood. The actor had done many films like Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Coolie No.1, Raja Babu, Raja Hindustani, and Zubeidaa in her prime time and raised to a level of stardom. The actor had returned to limelight with an Alt Balaji and Zee5 series, “Mentalhood”, in 2020 which had a promising cast but yet failed to attract an audience. Now she is trying to make a comeback with the director Abinav Deo who is famous with his movies “Delhi Belly” and “Blackmail”.
Abinav Deo has been eyeing an opening at OTT platforms for quite a while. According to peepingmoon.com reports Abinav Deo is going to direct a web series with Zee 5 and Karishma Kapoor will do the lead role in it. Similar to her previous show this series is also a women centric series which tells a story of a woman enthralled in a difficult situation.
Along with Karisma Kapoor the series will reportedly cast another veteran actor Helen in an important role who is also famous for her early movies like Don, Sholay, Gumnaam in the 80’s and 90’s. She is also known as an actor who worked in over 700 movies in her life.
With a couple of veteran actors, Abhinav Deo is all set to make an entry to the OTT pool. The series hasn’t got any title. An official statement is expected to come from him within days. Fans are eagerly waiting for an astonishing comeback from Karishma Kapoor.
