Karthi is currently unarguably the most successful Tamil actor of the year 2022. With 3 already released films Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan-1,and Sardar raking moolah at the box-office, a tail-end hinting at Kaithi-2 in blockbuster Vikram(2022), and an official announcement of Sardar 2 some days ago, the actor is having a dream run. The actor announced the title of his 25th film as ‘Japan’ few days ago and the official first look is out today.
Karthi released his first look from Japan on his twitter account.

The first look poster release also mentions that Japan will release in four South Indian languages : Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada respectively. So far there has not been any announcement regarding a Hindi dubbed release.
The first look of Karthi in and as ‘Japan’ is quirky and eccentric all at once. The actor himself calls his character ‘quirk’. One could see a huge photo frame of the actor dressed in everything gold in the background. He is also seen holding a golden gun. In front lies the actor all wasted, lying on a couch. Concisely, the first look poster has done the job of creating a curiosity amongst the audience. Not to forget, Karthi is an actor who nails eccentric characters and owns their quirkiness effortlessly. So Japan, looks like a wild, peppy and fun ride.
The film is directed by Joker-maker Raju Murugan and bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. Japan stars Karthi and Anu Emmanuel in lead roles. The music is scored by GV Prakash Kumar. Ravi Varman handles the cinematography while editing and action choreography is done by Philomin Raj and Anbariv.
Japan marks the sixth collaboration of Karthi and production company Dream Warrior Pictures after Saguni, Kashmora, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi and Sultan. The actor also has an immediate release next : Ponniyin Selvan – 1. The other projects in his line-up besides PS-2 and Japan are Sardar 2 and Kaithi 2. Stay tuned for more updates.
