Teaser for Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming direct-to-OTT release ‘Freddy’ is here and it’s as intriguing as it gets. Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh (‘Veere Di Wedding’), ‘Freddy’ will premiere only on Disney+ Hotstar on 2nd December, 2022.
‘Freddy’ teaser begins with Kartik Aaryan’s introduction as Dr. Freddy Ginwala who is said to be a shy, lonely, honest, naive, nervous, innocent, truthful, ingenious, conscious, repulsive, insightful, quiet, introvert and weak dentist. Through the first part he can be seen treating his patients with utmost dedication and sincerity.
It’s during the second half of the teaser that the psychic side of ‘Freddy’ is unveiled where he is slow dancing and smiling in a creepy manner. Towards the end he is seen walking through a jungle and suddenly changes his form to something mysterious.
‘Freddy’ is romantic thriller packed with unpredictable twists and turns where lines between love and obsession blur. The film stars Kartik Aaryan alongside Alaya F, Jennifer Piccinato and Tripti Agarwal among others.
Parveez Sheikh has written the screenplay for ‘Freddy’ that is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Narendra Hirawat, Shreyans Hirawat in association with Jay Shewakramani. The production companies behind the film are Balaji Motion Pictures, Northern Lights Films and NH Studioz.
Set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on 2nd December, 2022, ‘Freddy’ will be Kartik Aaryan’s second direct-to-digital film after Ram Madhvani’s ‘Dhamaka’ on Netflix.
