Kate Winslet and Todd Haynes will team up again for a new project. The filmmer will be directing Winslet in a limited series for HBO. The series has been titled ‘Trust’.
John Raymond will be co-writing the project with Haynes and they both will be executive producers in it. Kate Winslet and Hernan Diaz will also serve as executive producers. The show is based on a novel of the same name by Hernan Diaz. The novel won the Pulitzer prize in 2023.
The show will be telling the story of a Wall Street tycoon in the 1920s who gains a huge fortune from the stocks. But the marriage with his wife breaks. After many years, the man tries to control his story and public image through circulating many narratives about himself. But a biographer soon finds out that there is some mystery in these stories and there lay many secrets in their marriage. Kate Winslet will be playing the wife of the tycoon. Other cast details are not revealed yet.
Todd Haynes and Kate Winslet have previously worked together in another limited series for HBO. The show was called Mildred Pierce and it was an adaptation of James M. Cain’s 1941 novel. Their collaboration has proved to be successful for HBO and hopefully it will again be fruitful. Release date and other details will be revealed later on.
