Netflix has dropped the trailer for its upcoming film ‘Kathal’ and it’s one bizarre yet mysterious case of missing jackfruits. Helmed by Yashowardhan Mishra, who is making his directorial debut, ‘Kathal’ will premiere only on Netflix on 19th May, 2023.
‘Kathal’ trailer shows how when two jackfruits go missing from a small town’s local politician garden, police is roped in to solve the case and catch the thief. What seems to be a very odd and non-substantive case soon becomes sensational as media gets involved.
Young police officer Mahima (Sanya Malhotra), who initially thinks the case is baseless and is also ordered to just pin the blame on the gardener, later becomes adamant to solve this bizarre case to prove herself. What follows is a fun and comedy filled ride to find out the jackfruits and their thief.
‘Kathal’ is directed by Yashowardhan Mishra, who has also written the film along with the veteran, award winning writer Ashok Mishra. The Netflix film stars Sanya Malhotra, Anant V Joshi, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Brijendra Kala and Neha Saraf in prominent roles.
