Kerala Crime Files is finally coming back with its second season, and this time, the buzz is bigger than ever. The new season will start streaming on JioHotstar from June 20. The first season, which released in June last year, got a lot of love for its serious and realistic approach. Now, the second season is bringing in even more excitement, and there’s a very good reason for it.
This season is written by Bahul Ramesh, the same writer who gave us the hit Malayalam thriller Kishkindha Kaandam. That film was widely praised and could be considered as one of the best recent thrillers. So, naturally, fans are expecting something gripping and powerful this time around too.
JioHotstar really needs a win right now. Apart from Criminal Justice Season 4, which got a lot of appreciation, most of their recent shows haven’t worked well. Many viewers have been disappointed with the quality of content. But Kerala Crime Files Season 2 might just turn things around. With a strong story, a trusted writer, and a solid cast, it has all the right ingredients.
The plot this time is about a police officer named Ambili Raju who goes missing. His blood-stained phone is found in a drain, which leads to serious doubts and a new investigation. The role is played by the veteran actor Indrans. Joining him are actors like Aju Varghese, Lal, Harisree Ashokan, Jeo Baby, and others.
It’s coming in multiple languages too. Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. So wherever you are in India, you’ll be able to watch it. If done right, this could finally be the show JioHotstar has been waiting for.
