The official teaser for ‘Kerala Crime Files‘ has been released. The show is named ‘Kerala Crime Files: Shiju, Parayil Veedu, Neendakara’ in full. It will be releasing on Disney+Hotstar but the release date for the series has not been revealed yet. Kerala Crime Files will be the first Malayalam original for Hotstar.
The series will be a gritty crime thriller with realistic stories of criminal exploits. The trailer features Aju Varghese as the police inspector Manoj and actor Lal as Kurian. Inspector Manoj go on looking for a murderer in the show and the only clue they have is a fake address.
Kerala Crime Files is directed by Ahmmed Khabbeer and written by Ashiq Aimar. The project is financed by Rahul Riji Nair under the banner of First Print Studios. The trailer looks really good with wonderful cinematography and upbeat music. The dedication in the execution of the series is very clear from the trailer. It is cut beautifully with intelligent editing and the color grading does justice to the tone of the film. The music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab and the cinematography is handled by Jithin Sthalinslaus. Mahesh Bhuvanend has edited the show.
Malayalam film industry is the one industry we look up to for original content and stories. And Malayalam shows on OTT too has proved to be up to the mark that the film industry from Kerala has set. Kerala Crime Files gives hope for a new addition to the wonderful oeuvre of Malayalam stories. It has many elements like the exploitation of sex workers, political pressure on police officers, suspense, thrill and a concise and compact story that will contribute to the success of the show.
