Sony is determined to be profitable as they absolutely love their Spider-Man universe. In terms of quality, though they managed to create abominations like Madame Web and Morbius, they also crafted something as iconic as Spider-Verse. And this time, they have a minor dispute.
This involves Spider-Man 4.
When there were talks about a live-action Miles Morales film, it was announced that Sony would be investing their resources in two films now. One would be “Beyond The Spider-Verse,” and the second would be Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.
But the dynamics are shifting now.
During a recent update, there might be a clash between Feige and Sony. Practically, the MCU is at an all-time high, probably offering fans one of the most interesting times ahead. However, that comes with a burden—it offers a busy slate.
Now, with that burden, it is expected that Marvel won’t be able to work with Sony when it comes to Spider-Man 4. In Feige’s words, the MCU is now “spread too thin,” and they won’t be able to finish the world by 2025.
Speaking of Sony’s vision, they are determined to have a 2025 release, which might seem like an impossible task now. And as they will definitely have the upper hand, the date really looks unapproachable.
