The makers of much-anticipated pan-India biggie KGF 2 had already announced that the film will be releasing in theatres on the 14th of April. The newly released poster had the 14 April release imprinted on it, meaning the makers are intending to stick to this release plan.
Incidentally, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay‘s Beast had also announced that the film will be out in theatres across the globe this April. In all likelihood, the Vijay starrer, which is in the final leg of production now will be hitting the silver screens in the latter half of this April. The release date is expected to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, several reliable reports are now claiming that the makers of RRR are also contemplating Summer release for the film. April 28 and 29 are said to be the two tentative theatrical release dates for the Rajamouli directorial. The chances of the film releasing either on 28 or 29 April are pretty substantial for now.
If that is the case, we might have big-ticket theatrical outings – KGF 2, Beast, and RRR all in the same month – April. Well, this ultimately depends on the Covid situation at that point in time. But the prospect of having 3 A-lister theatrical outings in the same month looks mouth-watering.
While KGF 2 and RRR enjoy pan-India hype, Beast is super strong in Southern part of the country and particularly so in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Now, all we can do is wait and watch if these three mainstream biggies will be releasing just a week apart from each other. What a box office clash that would be.
