A few weeks back, it was reported that Sudha Kongara will be going behind the camera for a big-budget movie featuring ‘Soorarai Pottru’ lead actor Suriya. So, most likely that is the same movie that will now be backed by Hombale Films. It was also revealed that the movie’s filming schedule is expected to commence later this year in December. However, other details about the film’s remaining cast members, plotline, etc. are currently not known.
A creative collaboration between Hombale, Suriya, and Sudha Kongara is bound to attract some serious attention from cinephiles because of obvious reasons. Homebale’s last three films ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’, ‘Yuvarathnaa’, and ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ were commercial successes. Suriya’s last two movies ‘Jai Bhim’ and ‘ET’ further cemented his status as a bankable star.
Moreover, the Filmfare award-winning director Sudha Kongara’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’ had received a big thumbs-up from audiences and critics alike. Sudha Kongara’s directorial filmography includes films like Madhavan starrer boxing drama ‘Saala Khadoos’, its Telugu remake ‘Guru’ starring Venkatesh, and a segment of the hard-hitting anthology ‘Paava Kadhaigal’. It was also announced that she would be helming the ‘Soorarai Pottru’ Hindi remake but there is no further update on the same.
After ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’, one of Hombale’s highly anticipated films is the Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ which is slated for a theatrical release sometime in April-June 2023. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on Hombale Films’ next movie with Sudha Kongara.
