December is always a big month when it comes to movies. Due to the Holiday Season, there are tons of big releases. Probably the most promoted Netflix India original, The Archies also got released this month. But it was so bad of a film that the audience downright rejected it and it failed to garner any sort of success.
This happened due to poor execution and sharp ratings. But, the audience blamed it on Nepotism and “alien” kinda content. Whatever the case may be, the highly promoted original by Netflix India failed to live up to the expectations and what is the after effect?
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is getting a silent release. The movie has Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey who pulled off their characters in Prime Video’s “Gehraiyaan” pretty well. It even has Adarash Gourav who was decent in Netflix India’s own “Guns & Gulaabs”.
But, there is practically no promotion of the film. Well, it will certainly impact the performance of the film as it will get much less visibility.
Regardless, it is what it is. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is destined to suffer for the sins of The Archies. However, it must call for a more creative promotional strategy and a more balanced content check.
