Bollywood and Action have not been on good terms lately. If the action is good then it is usually based on stories that are just too boring. Most of the films have over the top action that may be good for whistles and hoots but they lose charm as soon as we see them on any medium outside the big screens.
But, Kill is not like that. The film is filled with bloody and unsettling action that clearly makes it “not for everyone”.
The movie indeed shows the gore that films like NH 10 only hinted at. With its Hollywood remake on the way and so much of a warm response…will Kill change the course of action films in Bollywood?
People certainly seem to be getting bored with stuff like Pathaan and War. While we realise how excess of gore in films can be bad, this seems inevitable now.
Indians showed a crazy scale of excitement and disappointment for Monkey Man. So, the signs are clear and Kill may prove itself to be a major catalyst that brings change in the action style of Bollywood.
Well, it is too early to say anything, but let’s wait to see what the box office collection of Kill says. It would be a great indication of the validation of people.
