King Of Kotha has locked its OTT release date. After a not so great theatrical run, the movie is set to arrive on Disney+Hotstar this September 29.
The film’s huge star cast contains Dulquer Salmaan, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shammi Thilakan, Saran, Shanthi Krishna and Anikha Surendran.
The story unfolds in various timelines and is a little complex.
In 1996, CI Shahul Hassan arrived in Kotha, a drug-infested town near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. He discovers Kannan Bhai, a powerful gangster ruling Kotha. Flashing back to 1986, Raju, a ruthless gangster, and Kannan’s best friend, was the town’s kingpin. Raju fell in love with Tara but disagreed with Kannan’s drug trade plans, leading to a violent conflict. Raju left Kotha that year.
In 1996, Shahul found Raju, now a retired assassin in Uttar Pradesh. He lures Raju back to Kotha with a telegram. Tensions rise, resulting in conflicts and betrayals. Raju seeks vengeance against Kannan. The story culminates in a bloody showdown.
By 1998, Raju enjoyed a peaceful life in Shimla but remained vigilant against threats from his past adversaries.
But above everything else, should you consider watching King Of Kotha on 29th September?
Well, if you are a fan of Dulquer Salmaan then you are certainly going to enjoy the film. Even if not, King Of Kotha got decent reviews and can be watched.
