Know DC’s Multiverse Designation For These Movies And Animated Shows

A new comic book ‘Dark Crisis: The Big Bang’ reveals the multiverse designations of some of DC’s famous movies, books and most importantly TV shows.

We are listing the different universes and the shows and movies that occur in them here. It will be easier for you to make sense of the huge array of stories and their respective universes. You will find this list useful if you are a fan of DC shows.

Earth- 789: Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’ was one of the most famous movies based on the character. And Richard Donner’s ‘Superman’ was quite revolutionary too. Robert Venditti and Wilfredo Torres adapted Richard Donner’s Superman with the name of Superman ’78 and Sam Hamm and Joe Quinones made the comic adaptations of Tim Burton’s Batman with the name of Batman ’89. These two stories take place in the ‘Earth-789’.

Earth- 96: If you are fond of DC’s animated shows, you must have seen the famous Netflix release ‘DC Super Hero Girls’. DC Super Hero Girls and the comic stories related to it take place in Earth 96. It has Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Zatanna, Green Lantern, Supergirl and Bumblebee going to high school with their secret identities.

Earth-1956: Earth-1956 is the setting of two shows ‘Superboy’ and ‘Super Friends’. Superboy tells the story of our very own Superman Clark Kent in his young days and Super Friends tells the story of compiled stories of the trinity Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Robin and Aquaman as well.

Earth-100: ‘Earth-100’ is home to the best teen stories of DC. Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo’s stories ‘Teen Titans: Raven’, ‘Teen Titans: Beast Boys’, ‘Teen Titans: Beasts Boy Loves Raven’ and ‘Teen Titans: Robin’ take place in Earth 100.

There are other universes with other stories like the Earth-93 is the universe where characters like Static, Icon, Rocket are born.

Earth-55: Earth-55 is the home to DCeased and its two sequels DCeased: Dead Planet and DCeased: War Of The Undead Gods. Earth- 98 is the home to the graphic novel ‘Green Lantern: Legacy’ that tells the story of a teenager who suddenly gets the possession of a Green Lantern ring. Earth- 118 is the setting of a weird and different storyline, ‘Dark Knights Of Steel’. The story brings Batman, Superman, all the Robins into one single story and tells a massive tale. There is Earth 1996 and Earth-63 too where there are interesting stories.

More stories will be added to these universes through comics and animated shows and fans are hopeful that some of them will be made into movies too.
