Kollywood Buzz Around Kamal Haasans Thug Life

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan recently provided updates on the eagerly anticipated project, ‘Thug Life,’ marking a significant reunion with director Mani Ratnam after a substantial gap. The film garnered considerable attention not only due to this collaboration but also with the inclusion of esteemed actors such as Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Jayam Ravi.

While initial reports indicated Dulquer Salmaan’s involvement in ‘Thug Life,’ the actor had to withdraw from the project citing scheduling conflicts, prompting speculation among fans. However, recent social media buzz suggests that Silambarasan TR has been brought on board and is slated to commence filming in April. Silambarasan TR is concurrently collaborating with director Desingh Periyasamy on a project tentatively titled ‘STR 48,’ backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Film International (RKFI), wherein he will portray dual roles as twin brothers in a period action drama.

Amidst his professional commitments, Kamal Haasan is currently taking a hiatus to engage in political campaigning for the ruling party, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Once his political responsibilities conclude, Haasan is expected to return to the film industry, resuming work on ‘Thug Life’ and other cinematic endeavors.
