Korean film ‘Believer 2’ has finally got a release date on streaming giant, Netflix. The crime thriller film premieres on Netflix on 17th November, 2023. ‘Believer 2’ will not premiere on Netflix worldwide, but only in select regions of the world. Thankfully, India is one of the markets where ‘Believer 2’ will be available to stream on Netflix.
For those who don’t know, ‘Believer 2’ is the official sequel to the 2018 film ‘Believer’. Though the original film had premiered in the theatres too, its sequel will release only on Netflix. ‘Believer 2’ had premiered at the just-concluded 28th Busan International Film Festival in the ‘Korean Cinema Today – Special Premiere’ section on October 5, 2023.
The film is directed by Baek Jong-yul, and stars Cho Jin-woong, Cha Seung-won, Han Hyo-joo, Oh Seung-hoon, Kim Dong-young, and Lee Joo-young in pivotal roles. The sequel centres on the cop Won-ho, who pursues the elusive drug-lord Rak, while looking to bust his sinister drug cartel.
The official synopsis of ‘Believer 2’ reads – “A determined detective continues his search for the truth behind Asia’s largest drug organization and its elusive boss with whom he has unfinished business”.
