Disney Plus has added yet another exciting Korean drama to its fast-increasing Korean slate. The streaming giant has acquired a new Korean drama for exclusive streaming on its platform worldwide. Titled ‘Wonderful World’, the Korean series is an edgy revenge drama that follows a mother seeking to avenge her son’s murder.
Disney Plus has also revealed the OTT release date of ‘Wonderful World’. The Korean series premieres on Disney Plus worldwide on 1st March, 2024. ‘Wonderful World’ will also premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar in India on the same date.
Korean series ‘Wonderful World’ centres on Soo-hyun, a successful writer and professor of psychology, whose life unravels after her son is murdered. When her son’s murderer escapes punishment from the law, she sets out on revenge and punishing her son’s killer. Soon, she comes into contact with other people going through similar trauma, and helps them seek revenge too.
Wonderful World stars well-known Korean actress Kim Nam-joo (Misty, Voice Of A Murderer) as Soo-hyun. Cha Eun-woo (True Beauty, A Good Day to be a Dog) stars as Gwon Seon-yul, a medical student, who teams up with Soo-hyun in her endeavor. Kim Kang-Woo, Lim Se-Mi, Park Hyuk-Kwon, Gil Hae-Yeon, Cha Soo-Yeon, Oh Man-Seok, among others, form the rest of the cast of ‘Wonderful World’
The series is written by Kim Ji-eun, and directed by Lee Seung-yeong. Wonderful World premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on 1st March, 2024. Stay tuned to Binged for further updates on the upcoming series.
