Dhanush and Aanand L Rai are all set to reunite for their next venture ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ which according to the makers comes from the “World of Raanjhanaa”, their previous blockbuster together.
While this has been known for quite some time, the latest news is the confirmation of National Award winning actress Kriti Sanon joining ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ as the female lead opposite Dhanush who was unveiled as Shankar yesterday.
Touted to be a romantic drama, the latest announcement teaser for ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is set against a tumultuous riot ridden background as Mukti (Sanon) walks down the streets pouring kerosene over herself only to tease the audience with lighting a cigarette towards the end.
She can be overheard narrating poetry that is all about how even if one person loves the other with their whole heart, is ready to take the down the whole city for who he/she thinks is the one and even pray to the almighty to make him/her theirs, there’s no guarantee that the wish will be granted.
Overall, this latest teaser for ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ creates a sense of intrigue leaving you thinking how love can often be more disastrous than just being adorable. How it can be the very cause of distruction rather than happiness, if it all goes wrong.
The cinematic visualisation of internal peace, that comes when one’s determined, amidst all the chaos is done well though it does look staged and not that real, but overall definitely fulfils the purpose. A. R. Rahman’s music indubitably complements the whole set up very well.
With Dhanush and Kriti Sanon as the lead pair, ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is directed Aanand L. Rai (‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Zero’, ‘Raanjhanaa’) and written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. Produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under their banner Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series, ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ will release in cinemas on 28th November, 2025.
