Krrish 4 Is A ‘Go’ For Sure, Here’s What We Know About It Till Now

Krrish 4 Is A ‘Go’ For Sure, Here’s What We Know About It Till Now

Move aside Marvel and DC, our ‘Desi’ Superhero is back after 15 years. Yes, as the crazy fans of Hrithik Roshan and Superhero Krrish are on a festive mode for the 2006 blockbuster film celebrating its 15th release anniversary yesterday, on 23rd June, Hrithik Roshan also added some extra excitement by sharing an extremely short clip captioning, “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. #15YearsOfKrrish #Krrish4”.

Now, everything went berserk with a small hashtag and that is #Krrish4. This inevitably indicated that Krrish 4 is coming and already in the picture. Since 2013, when Krrish 3 was released, fans were eagerly waiting for the update on a fourth film of the franchise. Now as yesterday Hrithik, the superhero himself, has kicked in the possibility of Krrish 4, fans are just going gaga over it.

But, the news to be excited about is, the plot of Krrish 4 is already locked as Rakesh Roshan is returning as the director and in talks with the visual effects team. Now, from the caption of the clipping, “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings”, there is also an indication that the film could explore time-travel. Though, if you are a Krrish fan, you wouldn’t be surprised with it as time travel is always an important aspect in the franchise as in the 2006 film Rohit Mehra, the father of Krrish has himself made a time machine to assist the mad scientist Doctor Arya, played by Naseeruddin Shah. Also, it is still not confirmed but there is a possibility that the maker could bring Jaadoo back after a long time.

For those who are not familiar with Jaadoo, it’s the alien who came to the earth and befriended Rohit Mehra and gave him super-powers in Koi… Mil Gaya, which later transferred to his son, Krrish. So, in a way Jaadoo is the most essential part of the franchise and if the makers bring that character back, it will be a hugely nostalgic thing for the fans. This film will also be a hugely significant superhero film in the era of MCU and DCEU, because when the idea of Krrish was conceived, there were no traces of MCU or DCEU. Therefore, it will also be extremely interesting how the makers approach the story of Krrish 4 minding it will be surely but unwantedly compared with these western superhero films of whom Indian audiences are already fond.

As we all know, Hrithik Roshan currently has quite a lot of projects in his hands right now including the adaptation of BBC show The Night Manager, Vikram Vedha and Fighter and once done with these, he will rope himself into Krrish 4. Though we do not have any other information on the superhero movie yet, but, we all can only hope that Krrish 4 could bring all the Nostalgia back and become a fierce film we all could immensely love.

In the meantime, check out the tweet of Hrithik from yesterday:
