Prolific filmmakers Vishal Bharadwaj (Haider, Kameeney, Maqbool) and Luv Ranjan ( Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety) have got together to produce a film titled “Kuttey”. The film was announced this morning on Twitter by Arjun Kapoor, who’s also the lead actor in the film. Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkana Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Shardul Bhardwaj and Kumud Mishra make up the rest of the cast.
Kuttey will be directed by Aasmaan V Bhardwaj, son of Vishal Bhardwaj. The music of the film will be composed by Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj. Luv Ranjan, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Vishal Bhardwaj himself will produce the film. Kuttey is said to be a crime and action thriller. Aasmaan Bhardwaj has also helped in writing the script of the film.
The budding actor-director has assisted Vishal Bhardwaj in his films like Saat Khoon Maaf, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola, Kaminey and Pataakha. He has also been managing his father’s company, Vishal Bhardwaj Films in the capacity of managing director.
The first look poster of Kuttey is edgy and exciting. Seven characters can be seen in the poster, dressed in myriad ways. Their bodies are human, but their heads are of dogs, the titular “Kuttey”. One of the human-dogs, a wise old one, by the looks of him, is sitting on a wheelchair in the foreground. Kuttey will go on floors soon, and will likely release in 2022.
