Acclaimed actress Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement with a bang as Emmy Award winner Kyle Chandler and Academy Award nominee Glenn Close join her and Jamie Foxx in their upcoming Netflix film ‘Back In Action’.
Chandler was recently seen in Godzilla vs. Kong and Slumberland. He had won an Emmy for his performance as Coach Taylor in ‘Friday Night Lights’, and garnered two more nominations for his work on ‘Bloodline’. Close has received Academy Award nominations for her work in iconic films like ‘Fatal Attraction’, ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ and ‘The Wife’.
‘Back In Action’ is an action comedy film and the title looks apt for Diaz who is literally getting back in action. The film is directed by Seth Gordon (‘Horrible Bosses’, ‘Identity Thief’), who co-wrote the screenplay with Brendan O’Brien (‘Neighbors’, ‘Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates’).
With storyline still under wraps ‘Back In Action’ is produced by Beau Bauman for Good One Productions, Seth Gordon for Exhibit A and Jenno Topping and Peter Chernin for Chernin Entertainment. The executive producers for the Netflix film are Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, Brendan O’Brien, Tim Lewis and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett.
‘Back In Action’ will premiere soon on Netflix.
