Laal Singh Chaddha has been reaping decent views on Netflix. If you are aware, Binged has earlier reported how the Aamir Khan film is making waves all across the globe. It is indeed true and Laal Singh Chaddha has ranked pretty high in earning views on Netflix.
However, even if we consider the rankings, what matters more is the number of hours people watch a movie. In that department, Laal Singh Chaddha is not a great example because it is mediocre at best.
Regardless, just to give you an idea, Laal Singh Chaddha was the second most-watched non-English film on Netflix last week. It came just behind the Nigerian film Anikúlápó.
The fact that a two-week-old Nigerian film is outshining Laal Singh Chaddha is disturbing in itself. Had it been a European or Korean film then it would be understandable due to their viewership base. But the Nigerian film industry is taking baby steps in cinema and even they are outshining an Aamir Khan film.
But whatever the case may be, this is what happened with Laal Singh Chaddha. We are not saying that the movie didn’t do well on Netflix, indeed it did. But from someone like Aamir Khan, much better is expected.
