One of the most-anticipated movies of 2022, Laal Singh Chaddha, is ready to come out on the festive occasion of Baisakhi. The makers have confirmed this via social media. Several rumours hinted at the postponement of the Aamir Khan starrer amid the recent surge in COVID cases in India. But the release date of LSC remains unchanged. Here’s what the official Instagram handle of Aamir Khan Productions stated in its latest post:
“Aamir Khan Productions’ Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film.”
The upcoming AK Production project serves as the official Bollywood remake of Forrest Gump that had the veteran Tom Hanks in the leading role. However, the movie’s plot revolves around the events of the India-Pakistan partition in 1947. Additionally, the movie has been filmed in over 100 locations in the country.
Secret Superstar fame Advait Chauhan has helmed Laal Singh Chaddha. His previous collaboration with Aamir Khan grossed more than 960 crores at the global box office. Thanks to its grand Chiese release. Apart from Khan, the film’s cast consists of Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. Chaitanya will make his Hindi debut with the film. Also, we have Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, and Karishma Kapoor making special cameo appearances in the upcoming project.
