Laapataa Ladies is one of those films that the audience must be accounted for. The movie was released in theatres but found a little love. The critics loved it but the audience didn’t show a lot of excitement. It was pretty much reflected in the box office. With complaints that there is a lack of good films, the audience needs to acknowledge that such small movies also need to be praised.
But, not all things that should happen do happen. The appreciation of Laapataa Ladies on the big screens is exactly that. The movie directed by Kiran Rao is a brilliant comedy that subtly satirizes many evils prominent in society. One is the normalisation of physical violence in the name of “real love”. You might have an idea where it is stemming from. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan. Yes, they might not be recognisable faces but, should you really care if they are delivering a great performance?
We believe, not.
Regardless, people are actually head over heels for Laapataa Ladies. The appreciation is coming in great volumes and adjectives. Instead of taking our words at face value, you can check out yourself the showers of praises being bombarded on the film.
