There’s been news regarding revered mollywood director Lal Jose and his upcoming directorial venture. No title for it has been officially unveiled, but it is set to be produced by Hombale Films, with Santosh Sivan, the award winning cinematographer leading the cameras. It is expected to be an action flick, and is the sophomore film in the contractual partnership with KRG Studios and Vijay Babu’s Friday Filmhouse.
The movie is rumoured to be loosely based off of the Malayalam noval Ponam, penned by K.N Prasanth. Lal Jose had recently been in talks of directing a sequel to the 2014 hit Dulquer and Unni Mukundan starrer, Vikramadithyan with a script being finalized, but also stating that things depend on the said actors as well.
Jose’s latest endeavors in the field include starring in Chathi, directed by Sarathchandran Wayanad, and also in Kuruvi Paapa directed by Joshy John. While not much has been disclosed regarding his plans for the year in general, we will keep an eye out for buzzing news and bring them to you as they come.
