Amazon Prime Video’s much acclaimed web series ‘Made In Heaven’ is all set for season 2. The announcement was made by Shobhita Dhulipala who starred in the first season of ‘Made In Heaven’ that came out back in 2019.
The post making the announcement read, “Made in heaven. Season 2. 🥲” and included an images with a script of the sequel season, a note from the makers of the show and some goodies.
First season of Amazon’s ‘Made In Heaven‘ chronicled the story of Karan (Arjun Mathur) and Tara (Sobhita Dhulipala), two Delhi based wedding planners who take the viewers into the worlds of different families through planning weddings for them. This show runs parallel tracks including those of the lives of Karan, a gay man during the time when homosexuality was illegal in India and Tara, who paved her way into high society through all the wrong ways.
The show was a huge hit and garnered much praise for its brilliant storyline and amazing performances by all the actors. Moreover, Karan Mathur got nominated for the International Emmy Award 2020 for Best Performance by an Actor.
Season 1 of ‘Made In Heaven’ offered an honest depiction of the superficial standards set by society and the courage to break that glass ceiling and come out of it. Each episode had a new story with the leads remaining the same.
Amazon‘s ‘Made In Heaven’ has been created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, who also serve as the show’s co-writers alongside Alankrita Shrivastava. Directed by Nitya Mehra, Zoya Akhtar, Prashant Nair and Alankrita Shrivastava, ‘Made In Heaven’ season 1 starred Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi among others.
Produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films, the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Made In Heaven’ was supposed to begin production in April 2020 itself but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will begin now.
Amazon Prime Video has not revealed any further information on the release date or cast and crew for the ‘Made In Heaven’ season 2.
