Over the past quarter, they have released shows like Broken But Beautiful Season3, Punchh Beat Season 2, which have been major deal breakers this time, as they gather more and more attention from the younger generation. Also, ALTBalaji has been doing immensely well with its collaborators too like ZEE5, which saw the release of their shows His Story, Married Woman, and a lot more. All of the shows that ZEE5 and ALTBalaji are pulling out together, are content that is much much needed in today’s time and hence all the shows from ALTBalaji have been able to strike a major chord with today’s generation.
As revealed in reports by Advertising & Media Insider, India, ALTBalaji has struck gold in this quarter’s subscriptions. This time, the streaming platform has sold 1.8 million subscriptions as compared to last quarter’s 0.9 million subscriptions. They have collected massive subscription-based revenues worth Rs. 17 crores, 4 crores more than last quarter. At this moment, the OTT service has 2.6 million active subscribers, which in itself is massive when one compares it with other streaming platforms.
Happy with the outcome, the officials from ALTBalaji have mentioned keeping the momentum going as they release 5 more series in the coming time. Also, the production house has been eyeing the progress of their movies which are slated to release soon, and looking forward to more theatrical as well as OTT releases.
Given all these statistics at the moment, one can see that ALTBalaji is one booming OTT platform at the moment. The service in just a few years is giving out some tough competitions to the leading ones in the market. Also, with that, it is helping in growing the homegrown services even more like with ZEE5 and now with their latest partnership with MXPlayer.
