Saif Ali Khan, at the moment, has a lot on his plate and all of them are some of the most awaited upcoming movies. Now, it looks like Saif Ali Khan is onboard another project and going by the backdrop of it, this too will soon become a sensation.
As per reports in an online publication, Saif Ali Khan has apparently been in talks for a movie with Excel Entertainment. The movie at the moment is being called “Fire” and Khan will be seen portraying the role of a firefighter in the movie. The movie, touted as an action thriller, will be directed by Raees fame director Rahul Dholakia and is said to be based on true events.
The movie is said to be based on the life of a Mumbai firefighter named Tukaram and how he during his time in service motivated and helped move his team for various SOS calls. If everything goes as planned, this will definitely be Bollywood’s one of the first movies to bring out the topic of fire as a disaster on screen.
It would be interesting to see how this is movie built and shot. We have seen movies being made on various disasters, but never specifically on fire. The movie is slated to go on floors by 2022 when everything else starts getting finalised.
Rahul Dholakia has apparently been working on this film since his time in Raees. He has written this film, along with the National Award-winning dialogue writer Vijay Maurya. Farhan Akhtar, who heads Excel Entertainment has also reportedly contributed a lot into making the script shine even more. This definitely is one of Dholakia’s most ambitious projects.
Reportedly, the pre production of the movie has already begun and a team from Excel Entertainment has been working on the making of the set for the movie. It is also mentioned that there might be involvement of an international crew for the set making, action sequences as well as VFX. All of these will make the movie a marvelous project to look forward to.
Dholakia at the moment is working on Mithali Raj biopic, starring Tapsee Pannu. While it is being said that Saif Ali Khan will get on with this movie, after the completion of two of much anticipated projects- Om Raut’s Adipurush and Vikram Vedha Hindi remake also starring Hrithik Roshan.
