Pan-India sensation and South Star Vijay Deverakonda‘s ‘Liger‘ is getting bigger by the day! The upcoming sports action drama written and directed by Puri Jagganadh, sees the actor in a never-seen-before avatar as a boxer and will now feature a cameo by legendary boxing champion Mike Tyson. This announcement was made with a short 1 minute teaser, by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions earlier this evening, who are jointly producing ‘Liger’ along with Charmee Kaur and Puri Jagannadh under his banner Puri Connects.
It was last reported that the team is currently completing a shooting schedule in Goa, post which they head to an international location for the upcoming schedule. ‘Liger’ also stars Bollywood’s latest sensation Ananya Panday, along with Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Makarand Deshpande, among others. The minute long teaser shows a split video featuring both Mike Tyson and Vijay Deverakonda in a sort of face-off, that only adds to the excitement of the film, considering the boxing premise.
The ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor has undergone a massive physical transformation and is leaving no stone unturned to portray his character and completely look the part. ‘Liger’ is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and will also release in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The makers seem to be taking the boxing premise very seriously and want to show complete authenticity as far as the plot goes, the latest addition in the star cast being proof of this. Well, this latest buzz definitely has ‘Liger’ fans intrigued and the film is trending big time today.
