MS Dhoni has retired from cricket but his fans are nowhere near “tired” of him. They want to see more and more of him. Thus, the legendary cricketer has switched to making films and his first movie is a Telugu one.
“LGM – Let’s Get Married,” has hit the screens in Telugu states, featuring Harish Kalyan and Ivana in the lead roles. It is a romantic comedy and definitely not a very promising film. There are tonnes of flaws and it is very obvious because MS Dhoni doesn’t have any experience or exposure in making films.
Nevertheless, intermittent humor injects a dose of entertainment. If one can look past these drawbacks, it could make for a suitable weekend watch. Yet, it’s advisable to maintain realistic expectations.
For those inclined towards OTT platforms, the film is sure to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar. Although the precise OTT release date remains undecided, speculations hint at a potential launch either in the final week of August or the first week of September.
“LGM – Let’s Get Married” presents an unfinished rom-com that might strike a stronger chord with OTT audiences. It merits consideration for its narrative and performances; however, viewers should not keep their expectations high.
