We are nearly two months away from getting our hands on Disney+’s Loki Season 2. Given the crap we witnessed in Secret Invasion’s finale, we should expect the upcoming Tom Hiddleston starrer to mend our broken hearts and restore our faith in the MCU.
The number of fan theories revolving around the second season is augmenting with every passing day. We have compiled some of the best theories for you. Let’s have a look at them!
‘The Council of Kangs’ Could Become Season 2’s Bad Guys
Fans got the first glimpse of ‘The Council of Kangs’ in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s post-credits scene. The council members were powerful enough to defeat the main Kang the Conqueror and force him to live in exile, making them a serious threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trio of Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, and Rama-Tut lead the Council. It is possible that Loki may not have a face-to-face encounter with these three powerful individuals in Season 2. But the trio could emerge as the villains behind the shadows.
Victor Timely Is Much More Than ‘Another Kang Variant’
Many fans have claimed that Victor Timely is another Kang variant who existed during the 20th century. However, the character’s comic book story tells something else. In comics, Victor is the real Nathaniel Richards, aka Kang the Conqueror. In one of the storylines from the comics, he went back to 1901 and became a politician and an inventor to conceal his real identity. This scenario teases that the show’s Victor could be the real Kang who fought Scott Lang in Quantumania.
Season 2 May Explore Ravonna’s Backstory
He Who Remains’ involvement with the TVA was teased through Ravonna Renslayer in Season 1. In the comics, she is a princess from another timeline who falls in love with Kang and marries him. Despite leading the TVA, Renslayer knew little about Kang and He Who Remains. But we can get her backstory in Season 2, which could establish her connection with Kang, and may pave the way for her appearances in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. In addition, we could get Kang’s backstory too.
Kang kills Mobius
Yup, it will be heartbreaking to see that! Season 1 showed that only two people mattered the most to Loki, Mobius and Sylvie. The latter’s actions opened the gates of the Multiverse. So, we should expect her story to culminate in Avengers 5 or 6. As for Mobius, his significance will eventually decrease after Season 2’s end. Plus, the show needs to raise the stakes and make Loki’s story more tragic. This can be done by the death of Mobius at the hands of Kang. This scenario will also make Kang more dangerous and menacing than before.
Loki Season 2 will come out on October 6 on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
