The trailer for the second season of the popular series Loot on Apple TV+ has surfaced, so get ready to delve even further into the world of Maya Rudolph’s millionaire character, Molly Wells. The woman we met in Season 1 was still in shock from the blow she had suffered during her traumatic public divorce from tech tycoon John Novak (Adam Scott). Molly discovered a new purpose in helping people with her enormous money by immersing herself in her charitable endeavors at the Wells Foundation. We’ll see this play out during the second batch of episodes that will be available on the streamer on April 3.
The second-season trailer for Loot features Molly’s best friend and helper, Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster, Fire Island), keeping her glass filled with a gin-spiked kale smoothie while she devotes herself fully to her work. Molly, who is still determined to share the riches as much as possible, grows her humanitarian empire throughout the season with the assistance of Sofia (MJ Rodriguez, Pose), who is in charge of maintaining the day-to-day operations at the office. Turning an elude in her search for love, Molly has her sight set on the new boyfriend (Benjamin Bratt, Miss Congeniality) in the Season 2 trailer.
Season 2 of Loot will welcome back several well-known characters, such as Ron Funches from the Trolls series and Nat Faxon from Friends from College. Additionally, Bratt will continue to make guest appearances as Rudolph’s romantic interest on screen.
In addition to starring in the sitcom produced by Alan Yang (Parks and Recreation) and Matt Hubbard (30 Rock), Rudolph also joins her producing partner Danielle Renfrew Behrens as an executive producer. The two join Dave Becky of 3 Arts and Natasha Lyonne.
The starting episodes of Loot’s ten-episode second season will premiere on April 3; further episodes will show once a week on Wednesdays until May 29.
