The fate of content-driven movies mostly doesn’t go well at the box office. This might be due to several factors like the lack of promotion, notable cast and crew, or any other technical aspects. How is the reception of ‘Adithattu’, which is the recently streaming flick that suffered a long delay from its date of theatre release?
‘Adithattu’ is a survival action-thriller film directed by Jijo Antony where Susan Joseph, Sin Teresa, Vineesh Vijayan, and the director himself bankrolled the effort under the banner of Middlemarch Studios and Kanayil Films.
Followed by the release of its big screen shows in 2022, the low audience response and disinterest in the plot became the consequences of the effort despite having importance on visual effects and sound design.
Fortunately, this movie received the 2023 Kerala State Film Award for the Second-Best Film, which made the audience curious to watch the flick when it gets an OTT release.
As per credible responses, the approach in storytelling, visual effects, performances, and background scores are praised by the audience and attaining the ‘watchable’ tag for the effort.
The technical labour includes the cinematography by Pappinu, editing overseen by Noufal Abdullah, and music as well as background scores composed by Nezer Ahamed along with Sreehari who are a pool of debutants.
Actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sunny Wayne are the main leads alongside V I S Jayapalan, Alexander Prasanth, Mullan Ani, Sabumon Abdusamad, Joseph Yesudas, and Murugan Martin playing important roles in the film.
The movie is streaming on the Amazon Prime Video platform and stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Adithattu’.
