Finding love in the modern world can seem like such a challenging task at times and getting out of a toxic relationship can be even tougher especially in today’s digital world where everyone is trying to show how happy and satisfied, they are in their life. Love birds is another tale of such a modern relationship which stars Adhyayan Suman and Sneha Singh.
Keeping a millennial away from his phone is like keeping an RJ away from the radio is one of the analogies used in this short film to infer the kind of addictive relationship that we have created with these electronic gadgets. Not only do these gadgets start controlling our lives but also gnaw at our personality and make us more and more insecure.
The whole issue in this film begins to crop up when Sia (Sneha Singh) asks Ayaan (Adhyayan Suman) to give each other their phones for an entire day as a gift when he forgets to remember their first anniversary.
That only sets into motion a butterfly effect of sorts, and the ending twist is a testimony of what love has become associated with the modern world where people mutter the words ‘I Love You’ without giving it any second thought. This film is created by Kushal Srivastava, the acclaimed director who was the driving force behind the film ‘Vodka Diaries’ which was filled with some fantastic scenes, a thrilling storyline and a twist ending.
In his classic style, this film though maybe too short to set up an effective background captures the essence of what people feel modern love is in today’s world. Some of the scenes though really simple have a powerful message behind them and a little humour is embedded in between the lines to keep it light.
