Love Pets? 5 Best Films Across OTT Dedicated To Our Cuddly Pals

What makes us extremely happy apart from our family and friends? What makes us overwhelmed with joy when we see them? What makes us energetic in a second even when we are tired? The answer is our pets. Our pets, be it any animals, makes us laugh, makes us smile and makes our lives happier than ever.

So, today’s unique list is dedicated to those cuddly littles pals of ours who always makes us happy:

5. Because of Winn-Dixie – Disney+ Hotstar Premium

Because of Winn-DixieOne of the simple feel-good family films in the list, Because of Winn-dixie is a fantastic story about human-canine relationship. The story revolves around a little girl Opal played by AnnaSophia Robb who befriends a cute little Berger Picard dog named Winn-Dixie while moving to a new town with her father. A beautiful and adorable film superbly acted by Robb along with Jeff Daniels of 101 Dalmatians along with Cicely Tyson, Luke Benward and Ell Fanning. A perfect watch for your Sundays if you are a pet lover.

4. Bolt – Disney+ Hotstar Premium

BoltThe only animated film in the list, Bolt is one of best pet oriented films ever made. Directed by Byron Howard and Chris Williams, the story revolves around Bolt, a dog who gets featured in a superhero television show and believes he actually has super-powers. But things change when he realises he is just a normal dog who’s been used by humans for fame and money and soon he teams up with a cat and a hamster to find his original owner Penny and save her from the show business. Featuring John Travolta as Bolt and Miley Cyrus as Penny, this animated film is a delightful watch.

3. 101 Dalmatians – Disney+ Hotstar Premium

101 DalmatiansOne of the classic Disney films on pets, 101 Dalmatians is one of the most children-favorite films ever. The story revolves around Anita, a fashion designer, and Roger, a computer game writer who’s on a rescue mission of the puppies of their 2 dalmatians from Cruella De Vil, an insane fashion designer, who wants to use their fur to make a coat. Now, while rescuing 15 of their puppies, they come across other unclaimed puppies too and that makes them owners of 101 Dalmatians. Featuring Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson, 101 Dalmatians is classic and a worthy inclusion in the list.

2. Togo – Disney+ Hotstar Premium

TogoThe newest movie in the list, Togo is a 2019 adventure movie revolving around Leonhard Seppala, played by William Dafoe, a musher who adopts Togo, a relatively weak Siberian husky, trains him and when the time comes, Togo helps transporting diphtheria antitoxin serum through harsh conditions during an epidemic of diphtheria for Nome, Alaska. An extremely intriguing documentation on human-canine relationship, this film is worth investing your time.

1. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale – Amazon Prime Video

Hachi: A Dog's TaleWidely considered one of the best films on animal’s loyalty for a human, this film is based actually on a true story of the Akita dog named Hachikō who lived in Japan in the 1920s who is fondly remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner for whom he continued to wait for over nine years following his owner’s death. This version, however, places it in a modern American context, directed by Lasse Hallström and featured Richard Here who is also the producer of the film. A remarkable tale of friendship, this film deserves to top this list.
