Sensation is great for a film. They definitely add “a” value to the film. But, we need to realize that sensation is not “the” factor for any film. Consider the case of “Darlings”. The movie had some sensational factor after the trailer but the movie was sold on the basis of performances and story.
This is precisely the mistake Dibakar Banerjee committed in LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2. The man is a good filmmaker but he forgot the proper ingredients that made the first film so damn successful. The collection of the second part hardly touched 50 Lakhs against the 10 crores collection of the first part.
Regardless, the only thing that you need to keep in mind is the fact that the second part is simply not worth it. The cast includes Abhinav Singh as Game Paapi, Bonita Rajpurohit as Kullu Vishwakarma, Mouni Roy as TV anchor Soni, Paritosh Tiwari as Noor, Piyush Kumar as Ajmal, Rahul Raj C as Prakash, Swaroopa Ghosh as Noor’s mother, Swastika Mukherjee as Lovina Singh, Tanvika Parlikar as Yashika, and Uorfi Javed as Chikni Choopdi.
There are a lot of disturbing, unsettling moments in the film and you may watch it if you don’t have anything else to watch. Probably that’s the reason the platform didn’t promote it.
But, the most important information is the fact that LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 is now streaming on Netflix India.
