Three small Telugu films – Bombhaat, IIT Krishnamurthy, and Guvva Gorinka are skipping their theatrical release and are going to stream online in December. As of now, these are the only OTT releases in Telugu for December and all of the films will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Except for Guvva Gorinka which has Satyadev as its lead hero, the rest are of a newer cast. Guvva Gorinka is also a film which was completed a long ago but is lying in cans due to various reasons. The films need good promotions to grab the eyeballs.
The three films, however, are not promoted by their filmmakers and are carrying very low buzz. Only Amazon is releasing their teasers and trailer now and then without any Hungama. We are just two days away from the release of Bombhaat and the rest of the two films will also release in the next fortnight or so. The makers have to pull up their socks. Only then, the films will get a good audience and more films will get good offers from the OTT apps which will be very helpful in these difficult times.
On the other side, theaters in both the Telugu states will open in December and so, the focus will be on the theatrical business in December.
