Luca Guadagnino’s newest romantic sports drama, Challengers, may stream sooner than expected on Prime Video. Challengers has certainly become one of the most talked-about films of 2024. Treasuring a sensational cast, led by the highly talented Zendaya, Challengers has become a massive critical success. At Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a ‘fresh’ 89% critic score, based on over 310 reviews. However, the audience’s reception towards the film has turned out more mixed, reflected by its audience score of 73% (based on 500+ ratings).
The above-mentioned scenario has obviously affected Challengers’ ongoing box office run. As of May 15, the film managed to collect over $70 million against its $55 million budget. The latest Zendaya starrer may have saved itself from being a financial disaster, but it may fail to turn into a profitable venture for Amazon MGM Studios and Warner Bros.
As a result, Challengers is now available to stream at home in the United States. The latest Zendaya starrer is now available to rent via Prime Video in the country at the rate of $19.99. This marks the first digital release of the film.
While details for streaming outside the US (like India and the UK) are still under wraps, we can expect Challengers to be available for rental on Prime Video in late May 2024 or the next month. Stay tuned for more updates.
